Don’t judge a plant by its leaf!

Some might be secret heroes in disguise.

Wild daisies, a gift from my birds, seeded in my garden a few years ago are a great natural pollinator. Along with the daisies, California poppies appeared and now are growing everywhere in my garden.

I love that I have both bright orange and pale yellow appearing in the tightest places and they always make me smile.

I always feel guilty pulling them and sometimes repot them offering them as gifts to other gardeners and friends. Remember if you ever need to transplant poppies, always do it on a cool and overcast day.

Right next to the daisy and California poppy plants are pink and white flowering clover that the bees love.

Since so many gardeners use chemicals to kill them, wild clover seems to be becoming rare.

I only wish I had more land to allow the clover to take over but because my growing space is small, I am forced to remove them by hand.

Much like mint they spread like crazy.

Make sure to take pictures of your garden because you will never know what will happen in the future.

This particular photo is taken where my greenhouse now stands and other than a few daisy flowers, all this is cleared.

I’m glad I took the photo because it looks so peaceful and now, I can share it with you.
